About Us
Money Harbor is a Financial Passport — a dollar account for the people the world's banks too often turn away: migrants, freelancers, and anyone living with an unstable local currency.
First, what we are not
We would rather you heard this from us than discovered it later:
- We do not hold a banking licence. Money Harbor is not a bank and does not take bank deposits. No deposit-protection scheme covers your money here.
- Real deposits and withdrawals are not live. There is no payment gateway and no bank transfer in or out. That stays switched off until it can run through a properly licensed partner.
- We are not a stockbroker. Stock and metal prices here are real and live, but a trade you place is recorded inside Money Harbor, not on the New York Stock Exchange. You do not come to own the underlying share.
- We do not issue Visa or Mastercard. The cards inside your account are a way to structure spending, not payment cards on a global network.
- Nothing here is a guaranteed return. No number on this site is a promise of profit.
If you are looking for somewhere to put real money in and take it out today, we are not that yet.
The problem we solve
Millions of people can't open an international bank account, hold dollars safely, or carry their financial history when they move country. Local currencies lose value, global banks say no, and emigrating resets your financial life to zero.
What we're building
One portable account that emigrates with its owner. Behind a single Harbor ID you can hold your money in dollars, trade the markets, save into vaults, spend with cards, send instantly to any Harbor ID, and pick up travel insurance and an international eSIM.
Every account carries Harbor Standing — a portable financial reputation that grows with real activity and travels with you across borders.
Why the engineering is worth trusting
Trust isn't built by claiming it. Here is what the code actually does today:
- Your password is never stored. Only a hash of it is. If our database leaked, there would be no password in it to read.
- The same goes for reset links. Only the token's hash is stored, it works exactly once, and it expires after an hour.
- Every session can be revoked. Changing your password signs you out of every device immediately — not whenever a cookie happens to expire.
- Optional email two-factor at sign-in, switchable any time.
- Repeated sign-in attempts are throttled, so nobody gets to sit there guessing your password.
- The ledger is reconciled. Every movement of money has two sides, and an automatic check confirms that wallet balances still agree with transaction history.
- Data is backed up daily to three separate places — and the copies are restore-tested, not merely counted.
Where we are
Money Harbor is live and in early access. The product is built and working, and we're onboarding our first users.
The legal work has started alongside it: we have engaged a lawyer to handle incorporation and we are in the early stages of that. We are not incorporated yet, and when we are, we'll say so here with the details.
One distinction that usually gets lost: incorporation is not a financial licence. Incorporation means a legal entity exists; a financial licence means a regulator has permitted you to hold other people's money. The first is in progress, the second is not — and until the second exists, we accept no real money.
Who's behind it
Money Harbor was designed and built end to end by its founder, and is growing into a small, focused team. We're honest about our stage: we're early, we build in the open, and we would rather earn your trust than inflate our numbers.
