Every night, code separate from the scanner reads everything that reached a deposit address straight from the blockchain and compares it with the recorded deposits. A single deposit missed or recorded wrong would show here.

Rules written into the code

Only money that really arrived on the blockchain, and profit made with it, can be withdrawn. Test credit never.
The treasury key is on an offline hardware wallet. The server cannot send money out of the treasury, even if it were fully breached.
Ordinary withdrawals are paid automatically from a small hot wallet with a capped balance; the rest after a human review.
If the scanner stops, we are told within 15 minutes.
